Poetry, tea and cakes - what a combo!

For a while I've been planning to host a little event where friends meet and we combine reading poetry with eating cake!!!

I would love to say these are two of my favourite passions but that's not quite true... I love eating cake and have baked a few but am no expert! I love the idea of reading poetry but haven't read anything much since 5th year sonnets topic!

So, I struck upon an idea to invite some of my more 'literary' friends to my house to talk about poems (and eat some tasty cake too!!!)

The plan is that each month we will focus on one poet and each attendee will be asked to bring and read one poem from that poet for discussion (and I will bake a fabulous cake and serve tea to aid the chat).

So, fellow poetic novices, follow me on this interesting journey into the world of poetry adventures and cake exploration!!!
